How do I access self-service for registration?

Environment

  • Self Service Banner
  • Student
  • All Internet Browsers

Resolution

Note: If you are a first-time student, please contact your Admissions Counselor. They will arrange an appointment for you to meet with an Academic Advisor for registration assistance.

Note: Students must resolve any registration restricting holds prior to registering, The hold details will tell them what department to work with,  see article Self Service Registration Holds

Note: Students can register on the first day of their time ticket (priority registration) and continue registration until the last date of add/drop

  1. Access Self Service Registration ​​​​​​
    Note: If the page does not load, complete your Attendance Confirmation
  2. Click Register for Classes
  3. Select Term
  4. In Find Classes enter your search criteria
    1. Select University 
    2. Select Location
      Note: You can select more than one
      1. Vermillion Main Campus
      2. Online
      3. Community College Sioux Falls (CCSF)
    3. Select Subject
      1. Options will be displayed
      2. Scroll through the class listing to find selections
  5. Click Add
  6. Your selections will be shown in the Summary and Calendar listings as pending
  7. Continue to add desired classes by repeating steps 4-6
    Note: Any issues will be displayed in Red
  8. Click Submit  This moves courses to Registered in the Summary section
  9. Click Schedule and Options tab to review, email or print your schedule
