Self Service Registration Holds

Issue/Question

Will we be able to place a hold on registration?

Why do I get a message there is a Hold so I can't register for classes?

Environment

• Faculty
• Banner 
• Self Service

Cause

Only administrative departments assign registration restricting holds

Resolution

1. Review the error message,  it will state what Department the Hold is from
2. Contact that department to work with them on the Hold
   1. Advisors must remove advising holds before a student can register
   2. Students must resolve any registration restricting holds prior to registering
