Cause
The employee needs to find guides and information regarding YourFuture
Resolution
Employees of the South Dakota Board of Regents use YourFuture (PeopleAdmin) to review job descriptions, recruit positions, request compensation adjustments, and complete NFE/CSA performance evaluations.
Logging in to YourFuture
- Visit the YourFuture site
- Click on SSO Authentication at the bottom of the page

- When prompted, enter your USD e-mail and password
Navigating YourFuture
- Your User Group is located at the top right of the page. Different User Groups provide employees with different levels of access and abilities within the system. An employee may have a variety of roles depending on their position. It is critical to select the appropriate User Group for the action item you plan to perform. Some common user groups employees may have include:
- Employee
- Allows access to only items specifically for the employee such as their position description and evaluations.
- Initiator
- Provides access based on a department. This user group should be used when initiating actions such as staffing requests.
- Supervisor
- Provides access based on position descriptions assigned to them as the supervisor. This user group can also be used to initiate actions.
- Department Head/Dean
- Provides access based on a department or College and may include access to multiple departments. This user group will be able to see all actions, descriptions, evaluations, etc. in the areas they are given access to.

- You will need to select the module that best suits the action item you will be performing. Modules are found by clicking the three dots at the top left of the page.
- Applicant Tracking System (blue tab)
- Review postings and applicants
- Start Faculty staffing requests and post Faculty positions
- Position Management (orange tab)
- Recruit CSA and NFE positions
- View or modify CSA and NFE position descriptions
- Create position descriptions
- Submit reclassification or compensation requests
- SDBOR Employee Portal (farther down below)
- Complete performance evaluation actions
- View your old evaluations
- View old evaluations for your employees
- On the home page of the applicant tracking system and position management modules, you will see two major sections, the Inbox and the Watch List.
- The Inbox will have any action item that is in your queue, for the user group you are logged in as. The “posting” tab, is where faculty staffing requests appear, and the “position requests” tab is where CSA/NFE position requests will appear.

- The Watch List displays the posting that you have manually added. To add one of your active postings, click the bookmark button ‘Add to Watch List” on the top right of the page. Only items you have added will appear here.
