Question
How do I add a hyperlink to a new file in Word?
Answer
- In the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, click on the Create New Document option on the Link to column.
- Type the name of the new file in the Name of new document field.
- Under when to edit, click edit the new document later or Edit the new document now, depending on your preference.
- To customize the ScreenTip that appears when you rest the pointer over the hyperlink, click Screen Tip and then type the text that you want. If you don't specify a tip, Word uses the path or address of the file as the tip.
