Environment
- Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone
- Voicemail
Resolution
USD is currently switching to a different VOIP system. The steps will vary based on if your phone has been updated
If your phone has the SD logo image
- If the PIN has never been changed, it is likely still the default PIN
- If you are unsure of the default PIN, please proceed with resetting below or contact the Service Desk so they can provide you with default PIN
- Go to https://voicemail.usd.edu/inbox
Note: You must be on campus, or connected to the VPN to access this resource
- Enter your credentials
- Click Settings
- Select Preferences
- Select Personal
- Click Passwords
- Choose Change Pin
Note: You will not be able to change it again for 24 hours
- Enter a 5 digit PIN
- Enter the 5 digit PIN again
- Click Save
- If the PIN has been changed from the default and is for a main department line, contact the Service Desk for a manual PIN reset
If your phone has the Coyotes Mascot Head image
- Sign in to the Webex web portal
- Click Settings
- Click Calling
- Click Voicemail
- Click Reset voicemail PIN
- Follow the instructions on screen to change your pin
If you do not have a USD account, contact the Service Desk for a manual PIN reset
