Protect all Contents of Word form

Question

How do I protect all of the contents of a form in Word?

Answer

  1. Open the form that you want to help protect
  2. On the Developer tab, in the Protect group, click Restrict Editing
  3. In the Restrict Editing task pane, under Editing Restrictions, select the Allow only this type of editing in the document check box. Make sure No changes (Read Only) is applied in the drop down box
  4. Under Start enforcement, click Yes, Start Enforcing Protection
    1. If you cannot click the Yes button, make sure that you no longer have Design Mode turned on
    2.  Design Mode must be off before you can protect the form
  5. A Start Enforcing Protection dialog box will pop up and give you the opportunity to assign a password to the document so that only reviewers who know the password can remove the protection
