When will additional tabs in Word appear?
Answer
In Word 2016, certain tabs will only appear when you are using specific content. For example, if you insert an image, a Picture Tools: Format tab will appear. This tab will only appear if you have that image selected, and this tab will contain editing tools for that picture (or other element). Other elements that these on-demand tabs appear for include tables, drawings, diagrams, and charts.
