Chatting outside of a team

Question

How do I chat outside of a team in Microsoft Teams?

Answer

  1. Open your Microsoft Teams App
  2. Click the New Chat icon  at the top of the screen or the Chat icon  on the navigation pane
  3. In the To: search bar type in the name of the person or group that you want to message and select that person or group
  4. You are now ready to start your conversation
