What is the AVERAGE function in Excel?

Answer

The AVERAGE function, one of Excel's statistical functions, is used to find the average or arithmetic mean of a given list of arguments. The syntax for the AVERAGE function is: = AVERAGE (argument1, argument2, ... argument255). Argument1, argument 2, ... argument 255 can be numbers, named ranges, arrays, or cell references.
