Receiving Error When Using UPrint on macOS

Issue/Question

UPrint isn't asking for username and password

Error: You need to install software to use this printer. To install the software, choose App Store... from the Apple menu. If the software for your printer isn't available in App Store..., contact the manufacturer of your printer

Resolution

  1. Uninstall the UPrint printer from your computer
  2. Download this Toshiba driver installer: https://business.toshiba.com/downloads/KB/f1Ulds/19993/TOSHIBA_ColorMFP.dmg.gz
  3. Install the driver
  4. Download the UPrint installer linked in this article: Printing to UPrint
  5. In that download, install the Popup package
  6.  Click the Report an Incident button on this page to contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
    1. Name
    2. Phone Number
