Issues Taking Exam in Respondus LockDown Browser

I am unable to type on essay questions

Do you have resources to help trouble shoot problems getting into an exam?

Error: failed to load page, error code (-106)

Environment

  • Desire2Learn (D2L)
  • Respondus LockDown Browser

Resolution

Prior to taking an exam

  1. Follow steps in Testing a Web Cam in Respondus LockDown Browser
  2. Launch LockDown Browser from desktop
  3. Click on Help Center in top banner
  4. Click on I am using Lockdown Browser with a web cam
    1. Click on Webcam Check to check your webcam
    2. Click on System Check to check your computer
    3. Click on Knowledge Base to access Respondus help articles

When taking an exam

  1. Connect to the network using an ethernet cable if possible
  2. Close out of the exam and re-open it
    Note: As long as there is time remaining, you will not need to use another Attempt to access the exam
