Outlook Asking to Sign In and Then Stops Responding

Issue/Question

When logging into Outlook a box pops up to sign in with USD email address and password but does not continue

Outlook is not Responding

Cannot set up Outlook

Environment

  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Windows

Cause

Multiple causes

Resolution

  1. Reboot computer
    1. Press Ctrl + Atl + Del 
    2. Click 
    3. Click Restart
  2. Make sure computer is connected to the network
  3. Use your Duo device to complete Duo authentication if prompted
  4. If still not able to sign into Outlook, follow Recreate Outlook Profile
  5. If non-USD email addresses have been set up in Outlook, remove them
