Overview
Lecture capture software allows you to record lectures for online courses, supplemental material, archive for students that couldn’t be at class or want to review the lecture. Recordings are organized for students to easily browse or search.
To get started with Panopto recordings, first add the Panopto learning tool to your D2L class.
To record from your laptop or office computer, Install Panopto. You will need to have a microphone and webcam on your computer. Now you can start recording using Panopto.
All Smart Classrooms have Panopto installed and you can record using Panopto. Some classrooms are equipped with hardware that enables pre-scheduled automated recordings. In the rooms listed below, you can request to schedule a one-time recording or recurring recordings for the entire semester.

Lecture recording offers many benefits to the students, allowing them to review lecture material on their own time to better understand complex topics or prepare for an upcoming quiz or test.
