Team Not Visible as Microsoft 365 Group in Outlook

Issue/Question

Can a Team be made into a Microsoft 365 Group in Outlook?

Environment

  • Outlook
  • Teams

Cause

A group can first be created in Outlook and used to create a team in Microsoft Teams, but when a team is created first, the group is hidden in Outlook to all owners by default

Resolution

  1.  Please contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
    1. Name of Team
    2. Email address for team (if known)
