Replying to Email with your Student Employee email

Issue/Question

As a student worker (employee) how do I reploy to email as my @usd.edu email address

Work info sent to my @coyotes.usd.edu email, how do I reply with my @usd.edu email?

Resolution

All student employees will have an employee email address created to use for their student employment purposes.  

Create and add a student employee email signature

Replying to an Email from a Student Worker (Shared) Mailbox

  1. Open the email you want to reply to
  2. Click Reply or Reply All
  3. Show the From Field:
    • If you don't see the From field at the top of your new email, go to the Options tab and select Show From
  4. Select your student employee @usd.edu address for the From Address:
    • Click  From menu
    • Select Other Email Address
    • Type the shared mailbox email address or select it from the list if it appears
      Note: First-Last@usd.edu is the standard format for student worker email addresses
    • Click OK
  5. Compose and Send the Email:
    • Write your email as usual
    • Choose your student employee email signature
    • Ensure the 'From' field shows the shared mailbox address
    • Click Send
