Not receiving emails from copier

Scanner will not deliver scans to email address

Environment

  • Toshiba Copier
  • Outlook

Cause

 

Resolution

  1. Verifiy email address is set properly on the copier
    1. Open a web browser
    2. Type the IP address of the copier into the address bar
    3. Click Registration
    4. Click Address Book
    5. Locate the entry for the user and verify the spelling of the email address
  2. Verify the copier can send emails to other users
    1. Perform another Scan to Email and include another user
    2. Verify that that user receives the email
  3. Send an email to the user from another email account
  4. Verify that there are no rules set in Outlook preventing the delivery of email
    1. Open Outlook
    2. Click Rules
    3. Click Manage Rules and Alerts
    4. Click the checkmark box on any rule with a to deactivate the rule
    5. Click OK
    6. Send another email from the copier
  5. Check DNS settings
    1. Click Administration
    2. Click Setup
    3. Click Network
    4. Click DNS Session
      1. 192.236.36.91
      2. 192.236.38.156
    5. Click Save
    6. Perform another Scan to Email and include another user
    7. Verify that that user receives the email
