Manually captioning Panopto

Question

How do I manually caption a Panopto recording?

Answer

  1. Hover over the video in the folder and click Edit
  2. Go to the Captions tab
  3. In the text box, type in what you want to appear in the caption
  4. Once you are finished, hit enter. This will add the caption to the current place in the timeline that you are at in the editor
  5. Once you have added all the captions, click Publish in the top right-hand corner
