Receiving Internal Server Error when viewing D2L Videos

Issue/Question

I am viewing a video in D2L and it brings up error: We're currently experiencing technical difficulties

Error: HTTP 500 : Internal Server Error

Environment

• D2L
• Safari

Cause

Safari does not have the correct security settings by default

Resolution

1. Open the D2L video in Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome as they both support video playback by default
2. Try clearing your cache and cookies in your current browser
