Cause

To help students pay for course materials and supplies, the University of South Dakota offers qualifying students a $500 interest-free Book Advance. If you are eligible, the Book Advance will automatically show as a payment option in the students' USD online bookstore account upon checkout.

Resolution

  1. Go to usd.textbookx.com
  2. Log in with your school credentials
  3. Add items needed to the shopping cart
Note: Required and optional materials will be shown per course
  4. For checkout, select the payment option Apply USD Book Advance
Note: If you do not want to use the Book Advance, do not select the payment option
  5. If your order total is more than the Book Advance balance, you will need to add an additional payment method, such as a credit card, to complete your order
  6. The amount used will be applied directly to your student university bill as a separate line-item charge
Note: You will only be billed for the amount used through the USD Book Advance and the payment will be due according to the terms of your university student account
  7. The Book Advance cannot be used to pay for a First Day Access charge on your university student account
