Opening Outlook for the First Time


How do I open Outlook for the first time? 


  • Outlook
  • Microsoft Office o365


Outlook has never been opened before or the computer is new


  1. Open Outlook from the Start Menu
  2. Type in your USD email address if it is not already displayed
  3. Click Connect
  4. Sign in using USD Email address and password
    Note: If you have duo enabled, authenticate with Duo as well
  5. Remove check mark from Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too
  6. Click Done
    You may be prompted to sign in again to Activate Office, if so, proceed to step 7:
  7. Click Sign In
  8. Type USD Email Address
  9. Click Next
  10. Click Work or school account
  11. Sign In with Email Address and Password
  12. Click Done
