Issues Using Respondus Lockdown Browser External Link

Issue/Question

Why can’t my students go back to their exam screen after accessing an external website in Respondus Lockdown Browser

I am trying to take a test and am unable to complete the test after opening a link on a test question 

Environment

• Desire2Learn (D2L)
• Respondus Lockdown Browser (LDB)

Cause

There is a known bug in Respondus Lockdown Browser that prevents the ability to navigate back to the testing tab in Respondus after clicking on the external site link 

Resolution

1. Navigate to D2L
2. Open the Quiz Question you would like to create a link in
3. Click Edit
4. Click the Insert Stuff icon in the tool bar
5. Select Insert Link
6. Paste the URL
7. Click Next
8. Create a Title for the Link (this will be used in step 11) 
9. Click Insert
10. Click Enter Embed Code
11.  Enter the following data and replace the yellow highlighted example link, with the link to the webpage you would like to insert and replace the green highlighted section with the title you created on step 8
