Cause

Office 365 Pro Plus gives access to the most recent versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other titles depending on platform. Under this program, current Faculty, Staff and Students may install the software on up to five devices/computers (University owned or personally owned) at no cost.

The software will remain active and usable for as long as you are current Faculty, Staff, or Student.  Based on Microsoft’s licensing requirements, it's not offered to past students who have graduated or leave USD.

Resolution

Note:  Individual Office 365 apps may be installed through your Chromebook or smart phone's app store.  

Instructions

Note: If Office is already installed follow Sign into Office

1. Go to Office365.com
2. Click at upper right to Sign In
3. Enter your USD email address
4. Click Next
5. Enter your USD email address and password
6. Click Sign In
7. Click your (reversed) initials in the upper right corner
8. Click View Account
9. Click MANAGE below Office apps
10. Click Install Office
11. Run the file that is downloaded

Note:  Office 365 can also be accessed with Office 365 Online.

Note: The Yubico key may not work with Duo for the initial sign-in after installing Outlook.  Please contact the Service Desk for a Duo bypass code if you do not have another device for authentication. The Yubico key will work for sign-in after the initial setup.
