Resolution

Note: University assigned email addresses are an official means of communication for the University. Those who forward their email from their official University email address do so at their own risk. ITS is not responsible for mail forwarding settings, and the Service Desk will not provide support for unofficial email services. For more information, see USD Policy 5.007

  1. Log in to your USD email account at mail.usd.edu
  2. At the top right of the page, click the gear icon 
  3. In the search field type Inbox Rules
  4. Click Inbox Rules
  5. Type Email Forwarding in Box 1
  6. In Box 2 use the drop-down menu to select Apply to all messages
  7. In Box 3 use the drop-down menu to select Forward to, and enter the desired email address in the box that appears to the right
  8. Click Save

    Note: ITS cannot guarantee the delivery of forwards to non-USD accounts.  Some outside email providers may treat forwarded email as SPAM or JUNK
