How does Zoom Cloud Recording work?

How long will my Zoom Recordings stay active in the Cloud?

Recordings are not capturing the shared screen when recording to the cloud.

Environment

  • Zoom Meeting

Resolution

Enabling Cloud Recording

  1. Sign in to Zoom
  2. Click Sign In
  3. Sign in with your USD credentials
  4. Click Settings
  5. Click Recording
  6. Verify that Cloud Recording setting is enabled
    1. Select any preferences you would like
  7. Check Automatic Recording if you want recording to start by default

Note: Automatic Recording should only be enabled if necessary as USD's Zoom contract has limited recording storage

Starting a Recording

  1. Start a meeting as the Host
  2. Click the Record button in the Zoom toolbar
  3. Select Record to the Cloud
  4. To stop recording, click Pause/Stop Recording or End Meeting

Accessing Recordings

  1. Sign in to Zoom
  2. Click Sign In
  3. Sign in with your USD credentials
  4. Click Recordings
  5. Find the desired recording and select Share or Download

Note: Zoom will not delete any recordings. Deleting recordings is the responsibility of the account that did the recording. At this time, USD did not set any time limits by default.
