Unable to open PDF file received through email

Error: This document file is damaged and cannot be repaired

Adobe PDF documents will not open on my MacBook Pro

Environment

• Windows
• Adobe Acrobat
• MacBook

Cause

Corrupt file

Incorrect setting for default program

Resolution

1. Set Adobe Acrobat Reader as the default for PDFs
2. Try to open the document using Chrome or Edge
3. Have the owner of the file send another copy
4. If steps did not address the issue, Please contact the Service Desk with below details
   1. Name
   2. Sample PDF file
   3. Adobe Version
   4. Contact number
