Cisco VoIP Phone Not Registering

Issue/Question

My Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone does not appear to be working

My phone says it is registering

My phone has an icon that is spinning 

I cannot call out or receive calls

The VoIP phone continues to go in and out saying that it is not registered

Error: Phone not registered

Phone is registering

Verifying Network Connection

Environment

  • Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Phone

Resolution

  1. Turn the phone off and back on
    1. Ensure the Ethernet cable is plugged into the port with the network  icon on the back of the phone
    2. Unplug network cables from back of the phone and wall port then plug it back in
  2. If the phone still does not work, please contact the Service Desk with the following information:
    1. Name
    2. Phone location
    3. Phone number
    4. When the issue started
