Cannot Check a File Out in SharePoint

Issue/Question

I checked out a file in SharePoint and now I can't check it in or access it.

I cannot check out a file in Sharepoint. It says that it is checked out to another user.

Environment

• Windows 10
• SharePoint
• Internet Explorer

Cause

Unknown cause

Resolution

1. Restart computer
2. Open the Office Upload Center
   1. Delete any files shown Waiting to Upload
3. Attempt to check-in or access the file again
