Message Saying No Printer Installed

No printer installed message when trying to print

My previous printer is not showing

I am no longer able to print from my laptop. It just spins or says it is connecting to printers.

Error: No printer installed

Environment

  • Windows
  • Network printers
  • USB printer

Cause

Print spooler was stopped

Resolution

Restart print spooler
  1. Click
  2. Type services.msc
  3. Click Services
  4. Click Print Spooler from the list
  5. Right click Print Spooler
  6. Click Start
  7. Wait 30 seconds
  8. Attempt to print
  9. If print spooler stops frequently, follow article Checking for Printer Firmware
