Checking for Printer Firmware

Issue/Question

How do I update the firmware for my printer?

Environment

• HP LaserJet printer
• Lexmark LaserJet printer
• Ethernet

Cause

There could be several reasons to update firmware

Resolution

1. Select Setup Menu from printer control panel
2. Select Service Menu
3. Select LaserJet Update
4. Select Check for Update
   Note: The printer will automatically update if there is a firmware update
