How to install Webex Chat

Environment

Cause

To install Webex Chat, download the Webex App from the official Cisco Webex website and follow the installation steps for your device.

Resolution

For Windows or Mac

  1. Browse to: webex.com/downloads.html
  2. Choose your platform:
    1. For Windows, ensure you're using Windows 10 or later and a 64-bit system
    2. For Mac, you’ll need macOS 10.15 or later
  3. Click the button to Download the App
  4. Run the installer
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation

For Mobile Devices

  1. Visit the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
    1. Search for “Webex” and install the app by Cisco Systems​​​​​

  2. Scan QR code to download mobile app

For Web Access

  1. You can also use Webex Chat directly in your browser by visiting web.webex.com

After Installation

  • Sign in with your full USD email address and password
  • Use the “Messaging” tab to access chat features, including 1:1 and group conversations
  • You can sync across devices, so your chats and meetings stay up to date
