SSOM Faculty or student is having problems logging into One45

Resolution

  1. If a faculty or student is having issues logging into One45 follow these procedures:

    One45 Sign-in Issue

    There are 3 possible failure points when logging into One45:

    1. Incorrect USD username and/or password being used

    2. ‘Single-Sign-On’ not set, or set incorrectly, for user to use USD credentials for One45

    3. One45 account issue at One45

    If a physician or student cannot login to One45, go through these steps, in order, to find if it is one of these issues:

    1. Incorrect username and/or password being used – test USD login credentials

    Have the person try to login to the USD portal, http://my.usd.edu , to make sure they are using the correct username and/or password.

    Their username should be ‘firstname.lastname@usd.edu’ but to be sure check in Outlook by starting an email to their ‘@usd.edu’ account and see what the system fills in for the ‘To:’ field and pass that along to the person.

    If they are unable to login to the portal, or have forgotten their password, then send them the link to reset their USD password – Rapid Identity - Password Reset . Since they are not able to access their USD email, find out an alternative email address to send the link to.

    After the password has been reset, have them try logging into the portal again.

    If logging into the portal works, then have them try logging into One45 again.

    If they still cannot login to the USD portal have them contact the USD Service Desk,  ServiceDesk@usd.edu , for assistance with their account.

    2. Can login to the USD portal but not One45 - ‘Single-Sign-On’ possibly not set or set incorrectly

    If they are able to login to the portal, but still not able to log into One45, email the USD ITS Service Desk,  ServiceDesk@usd.edu , with this information (copy and paste):

                    Request to have ‘Single Sign-On’ ‘SSO’ checked

                    High Priority – Customer work degraded

    (username)@usd.edu cannot login to the One45 website service that USD SSOM uses.

    They can login to the USD portal – username and password being used are correct.

    Need USD ITS to check ‘Single Sign-On’ (SSO) to make sure they are setup correctly to access One45.

    Please let us know if the ‘SSO’ was already set correctly or had to be corrected so we can have the user try logging into One45 again to see if  we need to contact the One45 support staff if they still cannot.

                    USD ITS should respond back if the ‘SSO’ was already set correctly or has been corrected.

    Have the person try logging into One45 again. If they still cannot login, the issue might be at the One45 site and their technical staff will need to be contacted.

    3. One 45 Account Issue – One45 technical staff need to be contacted

                 Contact the local One45 administrator, Jaymi Russo - Jaymi.Russo@usd.edu, and inform her who the faculty/staff person is and what has been done previously to resolve the issue. Possible issues could be incorrect SSO ID info or inactive duplicate account.
