Emailing PDF it Automatically Turns Into a Link Instead of Attachment

Issue/Question

I am trying to find how to attach a PDF to an email that does not turn into a link via Adobe

Environment

  • Windows10/11
  • Outlook 365

Cause

Adobe Add-ins cause this issue

Resolution

  1. With Outlook open, click File
  2. Click Options
  3. Select Add-ins
  4. Click next to Manage and select Com Add-ins
  5. Click Go
  6. Uncheck Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin
  7. Click OK
  8. Click File
  9. Click Options
  10. Select Add-ins
  11. Click next to Manage and select Com Add-ins
  12. Click Go
  13. Uncheck Adobe Document Cloud for Microsoft Outlook - ACROBAT
  14. Click OK
