What are the different ways to format a Qualtrics survey? 

Answer

There are several ways to edit the survey as a whole.

  • Page Break: This adds a page break between specified questions. To enter the page break, hover the mouse over the blank area between two questions, when it appears, select + Add Page Break
  • Copy Question: This function can be used to copy a question. This can be useful for similar questions, with small differences. On the far right side of a question, click the three dots, and select Copy.
  • Move Question: If you would like questions to be in a certain order, this function can be utilized. On the far right side of a question, click the three dots, and select Move question.
  • Add note: Notes can be added to questions, but only collaborators in the survey can see the notes, not participants. On the far right side of a question, click the three dots, and select Add note.
  • Preview Question: This function displays how participants will see the question. On the far right side of a question, click the three dots, and select Preview question.
