Creating a New File on Google Drive

How do I create a new file with Google Drive? 

Answer

The main function on the Google Drive homepage is the ability to create and upload new files. Once you click the New button, there are a view different options:

  1. New Folder: This folder could be used to store a variety of files on your Google Drive.
  2. File and Folder upload: By clicking file upload, you are able to access all the files on your computer and select the file or folder you would like to upload. Google Drive has 5 GB of free storage, so if you need to upload a larger file or video, you are able to do that.
  3. Finally, you of course have the opportunity to create new files right on your Google Drive.
