Opening Encrypted Attachment From Email

Need assistance opening an encrypted document

Environment

• Outlook
• Trend Micro encryption
• Cisco Encrypted

Cause

Received an encrypted email

Resolution

For emails that come in as files with an .htm extension

1. Right click on the attachment
2. Save attachment
3. Right click on saved file
4. Click Open with
5. Click on a browser from the list
6. If it still won't open, contact sender

For emails that have a link to a website

1. Click on the link
