Trimming or Merging MP4 Video Files in Windows

Issue/Question

How can I trim a zoom recording that I saved to my computer?

How can I merge two .mp4 video files?

Environment

• MP4 video file
• Windows

Cause

Zoom recording saved to computer

Resolution

Trimming a Recording

1. Press + E
2. Locate the MP4 file for the recording you would like to trim
3. Right click on the file
4. Click Open with >
5. Click Photos
6. Click the pencil and brush icon
7. Click Trim
8. Drag the left and right circles to where you would like to start and end the recording
9. Click Save as
10. Enter a name for the trimmed file

Merging Two Recordings

1. Open the Windows Photos App
2. Click New icon to right of window
   Note: New icon looks like two overlapping squares
3. Click New video project
4. Type a name for the video project
5. Click Add and follow prompts to add video files
6. Drag video files to the bottom of the window
7. Click Finish video
8. Click Export
   Note: Exporting can take a long time
