Updating Windows 10 Through Software Center

How do I update my Windows 10 version?

Environment

  • Software Center
  • Windows 10

Cause

Software Center is an application where you can pick different software applications to install onto your university-owned computer.

Resolution

Note: Reboot may be required after installation

  1. Open Start Menu
  2. Go to Microsoft Endpoint Manager folder
  3. Click Software Center
  4. Click Updates
    Note:
    If no updates are listed here, click Installation Status and look for the update there
  5. Click the available option(s)
    1. Example:
      • 2021-08 Cumulative Update for Windows Version 20H2 for x86-based systems (KB5005033)
  6. Click Install
