Updating Windows 10 Through Software Center

How do I update my Windows 10 version?

Environment

• Software Center
• Windows 10

Cause

Software Center is an application where you can pick different software applications to install onto your university-owned computer.

Resolution

Note: Reboot may be required after installation

1. Company Portal by Intune is the replacement for Software Center
2. Search for Check for Updates in Windows Search Bar
3. Click Check for Updates
   Note: If no updates are listed here, click Installation Status and look for the update there
4. Click the available option(s)
   1. Example:
      • 2021-08 Cumulative Update for Windows Version 20H2 for x86-based systems (KB5005033)
5. Click Install
