Troubleshooting Sound with Lenovo Laptops

Issue/Question

Sound does not work on my Lenovo laptop

My mute hotkey will not unmute my sound

Environment

• Windows 10
• Lenovo Laptop
• T14 model

Cause

A function hotkey was pressed, but pressing it again does not reserve the action, i.e. mute/unmute toggle

Resolution

1. Go here and download the Hotkey Features Integration for Windows 10
2. Run the .exe after downloading
3. Once it is installed, press Fn and the hotkey that is causing the issue, example: Fn + F1 to toggle mute/unmute option
4. Test sound
