Resolution

Note:  Employees who are on military leave or court and jury leave will be paid the leave hours at straight time regardless of other hours worked during the week. The leave time will not be counted as hours worked ​​​​

Court and Jury Leave

  1. Employees may receive court and jury leave for time spent testifying in court or serving on a jury
  2. The appointing authority may require employees to report to work during hours outside of the military or court and jury leave
  3. Employees requesting court or jury leave need to provide a copy of the court summons to their supervisor
  4. Court and jury leave is requested in Leave Request System under Court and Jury Leave Paid 

Military Leave

  1. Permanent employees are entitled to Military Training Leave of up to 15 days per calendar year
  2. Employees requesting military leave for training must obtain a written order from the commander of their reserve or National Guard unit indicating dates of the training/active service
  3. This notice is to be submitted to your supervisor at least 15 calendar days prior to the date of your departure for training
  4. Military Leave is requested in Leave Request System under Military Leave Paid 

Active Duty Military Leave

  1. National Guard/Reservists may use up to 40 hours per year of accumulated sick leave for a call to state active duty of military reserve or National Guard members
  2. If called to active duty, provide a copy of your written orders to your supervisor
  3. Request leave in Leave Request System under Active Military Leave
