I can't copy text from a .pdf file in Acrobat

Environment

• Adobe Acrobat

Cause

File is protected

Resolution

1. Open the file in Adobe Acrobat Pro
2. Click File
3. Select Properties
4. Click Security
5. Check to see if Content Copying: Not Allowed is listed in the Document Restrictions Summary
   Note: Contact the document owner to request that restrictions be changed
