Problems Recording Audio on PowerPoint Presentations

Issue/Question

After recording voice-over on .PPT slides, can't replay audio

Environment

• PowerPoint 2016
• PowerPoint 2013

Cause

Files were saved as Powerpoint 97-2003 files (.ppt) instead of PowerPoint file (.pptx)

Resolution

Change File Type to .pptx

1. Click File
2. Click Save As
3. Click Browse
4. Select PowerPoint Presentation (*.pptx) from the Save as type: dropdown
5. Click Save
