How to connect to a shared mailbox in Outlook Mobile

Read organizational or departmental account email on a phone

Environment

  • Office 365
  • Exchange Online
  • Outlook Mobile

Cause

User would like to view mail with the Outlook Mobile App

Resolution

  1. Sign in to your primary account in Outlook for iOS or Android
    Note:     if you have already done this, just open Outlook mobile
  2. Tap the circle icon with your first initial (or the Office Hexagon) in the upper left corner
  3. Tap the envelope icon with the + sign 
  4. Tap Add Shared Mailbox
  5. Enter the email address of the shared mailbox
  6. Tap Add Shared Mailbox
