Bot Submitting USD Website Form

Issue/Question

A web form on the public website is being submitted multiple times in a short amount of time by someone

We are getting the same bot to submit information to Salesforce daily and wanted to know if further action is required. We know there are no captchas on the web forms, do we need to work on getting these added?

Cause

No CAPTCHA or other ways of preventing bot submissions are contained within the form

Resolution

  1. Please contact Marketing and University Relations at web@usd.edu with the following information:
    1. The web address, or URL, of the form
    2. Request Marketing update the form with a CAPTCHA or RECAPTCHA element
