Requesting Main Line to Roll to Multiple Users

Issue/Question

If our main line goes unanswered, we would like the call to roll to the next available person or group

If the first number in the Financial Aid hunt group is on the phone, can it just move to the next number? Right now, calls ring 4 times (like call waiting) if the line is in use before it rolls over

Environment

  • Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
  • Main Department Line
  • Hunt Group

Resolution

  1.  Please contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
    1. Which number to use for the main line
    2. Which members to include in the group and in what order the call should go through
    3. If a voicemail box will be needed at the end of the group, which email account to associate with the voicemail box
