Requesting a Service Account

Issue/Question

Need a Service Account to run a specific service for an application

Need an Active Directory (AD) Only account for another special reason

A department wants a shared account to login to Cisco Finesse because they have an ever-changing staff of students answering calls

Environment

• AD
• Finesse

Cause

Service account are used to run a specific service for an application

Another AD only account for a special reason (requires approval from Security Officer) not fitting the above reasons

Cisco Finesse accounts are similar to service accounts where they fulfill a specific need such as shared login for Cisco Finesse, requires approval from Security Officer

Resolution

1.  Please contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
   1. Name of the service (if applicable)
   2. Phone number related to Finesse accounts (if applicable)
   3. Reason for the request
