Faculty Viewing Class Rosters

Issue/Question

I want to see a student listing for a section, with student pictures

I’m unable to see a class roster for the summer

I would like to check current enrollment for a Fall19 course

How do I see my waitlist?

Environment

• Banner Student
• Faculty
• SSB
• Self Service Banner
• SDBOR Portal/SNAP Home

Resolution

1. Log in to SDBOR Portal(SNAP)
2. Select FACULTY/ADVISORS from the left-side list
3. On the right side of the screen, locate the Faculty Main Menu box
4. Under the Faculty Main Menu heading, click the Faculty Main Menu link
5. On the Faculty Services screen, click the Class List link
6. The next screen will display the list of your courses with the following columns
   • Subject (actually shows subject, course number, section number)
   • Course Title
   • CRN
   • Enrollment Count
   • Status
   • Duration (start-end dates)
   • Term
7. On the line containing the section you want to see students for, click on the Subject (i.e., PHYS 155, U15)  to display a list of students - IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A LINK, but it will display the student list
8. The Summary Class List is displayed as below
   • Course Information header section
   • Picture of the student - (if you hover over a student's name, a larger picture of the student will be displayed)
     Note: If student pictures are not showing it is typically due to ad blockers, review information from the ad blocker you use to whitelist this site
   • Student Name
   • ID
   • Registration Status
   • Student Level
   • Registered Credit hours
   • Other fields
9. The screen contains a tab at the top for the Wait List
10. To see more details about the students Click  Detail Class List at the bottom of the screen

Note:  This is for viewing the class roster for your own course sections, you cannot view class rosters for sections you are not the instructor for

Note: If you are a dean/chair/director with sufficient access, you can run the Course Enrollment report in Cognos (Team content > Banner > USD > Academic Affairs > Academic Dean/Chair Reports) to generate a listing of enrollment in the course(s) in your area
