Requesting an Out of Office Message for Someone Else

Issue/Question

Employee no longer works for USD, can you set an out of office message for them?

Employee is out of the office and doesn't have access to the internet, can you set their out of office message for them?

Environment

  • Office 365
  • Outlook

Cause

Can be due to various reasons where the person whose account needs an Out of Office set is not available to do so

Resolution

  1. Supervisor of the employee must provide the following information to the Service Desk:
    1. USD E-mail address of the employee
    2. Reason for setting Out of Office message
    3. Out of Office Message that needs to be set
