How do I prevent Microsoft Teams from automatically staring when I turn on my computer

Environment

  • Microsoft Teams
  • Windows

Cause

Microsoft Teams defaults to auto-start when logging onto computer

Resolution

Note: You must be signed into Microsoft Teams before proceeding

  1. Open Microsoft Teams
  2. Right-click the Teams icon at lower right of Desktop
  3. Click Settings
  4. Uncheck Auto-start application​
  5. Click X in the top, right corner
