Application Not Authorized to Use CAS

Issue/Question

I'm trying to log into D2L and it is giving me trouble logging in

Error: Application not authorized to use CAS

Environment

  • Central Authentication Service (CAS)

Resolution

  1. Clear Cache and Cookies
    1. Windows = CTRL+SHIFT+Delete
      Note: make sure it is set to All time and not just the last hour of data
  2. Open new private, InPrivate, or Incognito window in the browser you are using
    1. Google Chrome & Edge
      • Windows: CTRL+SHIFT+N
      • Mac OS: CMD+SHIFT+N
    2. Firefox
      • Windows: CTRL+SHIFT+P
      • Mac OS: CMD+SHIFT+P
    3. Safari
      • SHIFT+CMD+N
  3. Please contact the Service Desk with the following information
    • The website you are trying to access
    • The error message you are receiving
    • Which browser are you using
