Sharepoint Message Document Checked Out When Trying to Edit

Sharepoint saying I have a document checked out when trying to edit

Other users are able to checkout/edit a document but when I do I receive this error

Resolution

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to Sharepoint site
3. Click
4. Click Compatibility View Settings
5. Type usd.edu in the Add this website: box
6. Click Add
7. Click Close
8. Press F5 to reload webpage
